Medical Misogyny Editorial Spread

This piece explores the contemporary ethical problem of women's healthcare and medical misogyny. The image of Venus, the goddess of sex and fertility, stands defiant as a representation of femininity, overlayed with falling pills to symbolise how medical professionals throw birth control medication at women and dismiss them without researching problems properly. The pill is not the enemy, and as my typography reads, it is a woman's choice to have control over her body and birth control. This piece began as a pencil illustration which was riso-printed, and put into an imagined editorial context.
