A redesign of John Steinbeck's 'East of Eden' book cover. I was inspired by the deep meaning in the book surrounding two contrasting brothers who represent Cain and Abel. I subverted the conventional predator-prey image of a wolf and a lamb, with the wolf bowed down in submission to a divine lamb, alluding to the ending of the novel when the darker brother asks for redemption. This piece was riso-printed.
